No burn piles, no truck movements

Great at what they do, made a massive difference clearing our property

Why this matters
Felled timber and old windrows are the leftovers of clearing work that was never finished. They sit there taking up property, harbouring pest animals, carrying fire, and dictating where you can and cannot fence, crop or build.
The usual ways of dealing with them are getting harder. Burning needs a permit and the right weather and is not always possible near neighbours. Carting timber off site means truck movements, tipping fees and a lot of handling for material that had value on your ground in the first place.
What we do
We mulch felled timber, old windrows, stumps and clearing debris down on site and spread the material back across the ground. Nothing gets burned, nothing gets trucked out, and the organic matter stays on the property where it does some good.
That material then works as ground cover. It holds moisture through summer, protects topsoil from erosion on sloping ground, and breaks down into the soil profile over time. On sites where burning is not practical because of neighbours, weather or permit restrictions, it is usually the only clean way to deal with the timber.

How the job runs
Old clearing debris is usually far quicker to deal with than people expect.
Windrow size, timber species and how long it has been sitting all change how quickly it processes and what the job will cost.
Timber is processed where it lies. There is nothing to load, nothing to cart and no burn permit to wait on.
The mulch is spread out as an even layer of ground cover rather than left in a heap, so the property is usable straight away.

Forestry mulching takes standing vegetation down and mulches it in one pass. Timber mulching deals with material that is already on the ground — felled trees, old windrows and clearing debris. Same machine, different starting point, and plenty of jobs need both.
We handle most farm and clearing debris comfortably. Very large butts and heavy logs take longer and sometimes are better pushed aside or milled than mulched. We will tell you which is more sensible when we look at the windrow.
It depends on how much timber there was. Spread out from a windrow it can be reasonably deep in places, so if you plan to plant or crop straight away, tell us and we will spread it thinner over a wider area.
Often, once you account for the permit, the waiting for the right weather, the crew standing by on the day and the risk of it getting away. Mulching also happens when you schedule it rather than when the conditions finally allow.
Tell us what you are dealing with and we will come out, walk the property and give you a fixed quote for timber mulching. No obligation.
