Why this matters
Bad Earthworks Show Up in the Wet
Earthworks look fine the week they are finished. It is the first serious wet that tells you whether the fall was right, whether the pad was properly compacted, and whether water was ever given somewhere to go.
Get it wrong and it is expensive to unwind. Shed slabs crack over soft fill, driveways scour out every storm, and water that should have run around a building ends up under it. On the clay and decomposed granite soils common through this region, drainage is the part that most often gets skipped.
What we do
Built to Sit Right Through Storm Season
We handle bulk earthworks, cut and fill, shed and house pads, dam batters, access tracks, table drains and general site preparation on rural and acreage blocks. Pads are built up in layers and compacted rather than simply pushed into shape.
Every job starts with where the water goes. We set levels and falls so runoff is carried away from buildings and pads, and shape table drains and diversions to keep tracks from cutting out. Where a job crosses over into clearing, we can mulch the vegetation first and move straight into the earthworks with the same crew.

Set Out Right Before Anything Moves
Earthworks are far cheaper to get right the first time than to come back and fix.
We look at levels and water
Before we quote we walk the site and work out where water currently goes and where it needs to go. That drives the levels, the falls and often the position of the pad itself.
We set out and build up
Pads and platforms are built in layers and compacted as we go, rather than pushed into rough shape. Batters are cut to a stable angle for the soil we are working in.
We finish the drainage
Table drains, diversions and cut-offs go in before we leave, so the first heavy storm runs where it is meant to instead of finding its own way.

Good Questions — Here's What to Know
Do you handle small acreage jobs or only large earthworks?
Both. A single shed pad, a driveway or a bit of drainage work is just as welcome as a full site preparation job. We would rather do a small job properly than have you patch it up yourself and deal with it again next year.
Can you clear the vegetation and do the earthworks together?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper that way. We can mulch or clear the site first and move straight into the excavation without a second mobilisation cost, which is one of the advantages of having both sides of the work under one crew.
Do you organise engineering or council approvals?
Approvals and any engineering design stay with the landholder or your builder, since they sit with the property rather than the contractor. We work to whatever plans and levels you have, and we are happy to talk directly with your engineer or builder so nothing gets lost between us.
What sort of ground can you work on?
We work across the clay, decomposed granite and rocky country typical through the Moreton Bay and Somerset regions, including sloping and difficult access blocks. If a site is genuinely beyond what we can do safely we will tell you rather than take it on.
