Forestry Mulching and Land Clearing in Queensland

A forestry mulcher grinds standing vegetation into mulch and spreads it across the ground in a single pass. A dozer pushes the vegetation — and your topsoil with it — into windrows you then have to burn or work around. Mulching leaves the organic matter on your property and leaves the ground usable immediately.

Neither, in most cases. Vegetation is mulched where it stands and stays on site as ground cover. That saves you burn permits, truck movements and tipping fees, and keeps the organic matter on your property. Heavier timber can be stacked or windrowed instead if that is what you want.

It depends almost entirely on how thick the vegetation is and how difficult the country is to work. Light regrowth on flat ground is quick; heavy lantana on a steep slope is not. That is why we quote on site rather than over the phone — you get a fixed price based on what is actually there.

Sometimes. Regrowth control, fence lines and firebreaks often fall under accepted development codes, while mapped remnant vegetation generally needs approval. We work to the Queensland vegetation codes and will tell you where we think your block sits, but obtaining approval stays with the landholder.

We are based in Dayboro and work right across Queensland, from Brisbane through to Townsville. Most weeks we are somewhere in the Moreton Bay, Somerset or Sunshine Coast hinterland, but we travel for larger jobs. On those we set up on site for the duration, so distance makes very little difference to the price.

Yes. We carry public liability insurance and can provide a certificate of currency on request. Developers, councils and civil contractors can have our full documentation as part of their prequalification process.
